30 Days of Me Challenge: Day 11- Picture of Me & a Friend

Today’s challenge is rather simple and is one of my favorites. *sings* people let me tell you bout my besssst friend! This past weekend I got to attend the One Music Festival with my bestie of 11 years and of course a great time was had. Not only did we get to enjoy an amazing lineup of Black artists but we also got to celebrate her birthday.

It literally does not matter how far away we live from one another we always make an effort to remain in contact. Even when she lived abroad I spoke to her more than people who actually lived in the states. Crazy right? I know but that’s what happens when your bond with someone is that strong, you don’t really get tired of one another.

As a matter of fact, we should both invest in WhatsApp because thanks to it we stay chatting all day everyday. So the selfie below is just a snippet of our beautiful sisterhood. My favorite part about our friendship is that no matter how much our bank accounts may glare at us, we are always down for a “Treat yo self,” moment. From our Mardi Gras fun in New Orleans to our historical walks through the National Museum of African American History & Culture in D.C. With that said, if there is anyone who I know has got my back through and through without judging me for anything, it is her. Thanks bestie for being the best. You may not know it but you truly do inspire me to live my best life and enjoy it to the max. I love you dearly! ❤

P.S. I can’t wait until we’re making big bucks so our travel can extend beyond domestic flights LOL…that day is coming sooner than we may think! I’m speaking it into existence
