30 Days of Me Challenge: Day 4-Bad Habits?

For this post (which is also a few days late) I’m going to make it short and sweet. No matter how we look at it, none of us are perfect and therefore we all have bad habits. A few of my bad habits include 1) Overthinking, 2) Overthinking about overthinking, 3) Saying yes to things I really want to say no to, 4) Not giving myself enough credit and 5) Allowing toxic people to linger in my life. Being that I’ve already noticed these issues, obviously it is up to me to make strides to fix them. So in the nature of this challenge I won’t get too deep, instead I’d like to ask what are some of your bad habits? 🙂

  1. Oh man – for me it’s procrastination and its relative “not budgeting enough time”. This is the thing that makes me start a project too late or lie around the house for too long when I have big intentions to get out the door early. I’m my own worst enemy in that sense. So just *doing* things is what I need to do instead of ‘in a minute’. And then, when I *do* do something, pick the important thing I’ve been avoiding instead of, figuratively speaking, tidying my desk instead of writing that report.

    1. Todd, I too have the issue of procrastination. I really think it plagues us writers the most. No matter how much we try to get right to it, something holds us back. I’m hoping that we can both find some strategies to tackle this issue and overcome the grips of procrastination 🙂
